The material used in sustainable abrasive discs for professional cleaning is post-consumer recycled PET (PCR PET), a polymer obtained from recycling plastic packaging such as bottles and containers. This material is recovered through selective collection systems and industrial recycling processes that transform waste into valuable raw materials.
This process includes four key stages:
- Collection and sorting of PET plastic, followed by industrial recycling
- Separation and cleaning to remove contaminants
- Shredding and washing to obtain clean PET material
- Extrusion and pelletizing to convert recycled material into raw material
